Malawi Youth Parliamentarian Session Opens.

As the government of Malawi get on empowering the youths of Malawi to take part in the business of the country as future leaders. It’s from this locale that the Youth Parliament was brought into the limelight. According to our spring in Lilongwe, The Malawi Observer can confirm that this time just about, Youth Parliamentary sitting is anticipated to open on Thursday, 1^st August 2013 by 8:00 am.

Youths from all the 193 constituencies in Malawi have already arrived in Lilongwe where they are likely to start their deliberations.Among other things that will attract hot debate in the house, the issue of labour exportation deal to South Korea will be on the table. Presently,the much anticipated Labour exportation deal which could mainly benefit the Malawian youths  has flopped and proved to be a hoax despite the state Presidents Joyce Banda,Minister of Information Moses Kunkuyu and Minister or Labour Eunice Makangala audacity in public rallies,news and radio stations  that Malawi had a contractual agreement with South Korea to export labour.

Speaking with one of the Youth Parliamentarians upon the arrival in Lilongwe.The youthful law marker told us that, “You may wish to note that the population of Malawi is dominated by the youths and it’s very sad to note that the breed of greedy and recycled politicians in Malawi is continuing to oppress the youths and not regarding them as legitimate towards developing the country”.

RULING PEOPLES PARTY WEAKER THAN OPPOSITION DPP AND UDF IN MALAWI.

With curiosity ,The Observers Malawi  have been following how the political arena in the “Warm Heart Of  Africa” is going by.Presently, looking at how  the Peoples Party is standing against it’s strong  rivals UDF and DPP respectively.A  conclusion  has been reached that the ruling  Peoples Party  isn’t that stronger against  opposition DPP and UDF. Assesment made in several parts of Malawi has showed that most Malawians do not recognise the Peoples Party   as a ruling Party rather a caretaker Party  just to steer Malawi until the  general elections in May 2014.The only reason the  caretaker -ruling Party seems stronger is nothing other than enjoying the fruits of incumbency .

As a matter of fact, the strength of a Party can be evaluated when it’s in the opposition worktable. Based on the recent appearance of the state President Madam Joyce Banda and the Peoples Party in several parts of Malawi.The party has few clique just that with the on going economic crisis and high cost of living, some Malawians are just being forces to rally behind her excellency’ party inorder not to only bring bread to their table but also find means to survive and have their demands met.

The massive exodus  and defection of People to the  Peoples Party is nothing to do with developing the nation or serving the poor Malawians but something  fishy.There is  an absolute  party with the governments resources which is enticing people to be part of the clue. If you look ironically on the audience in opposition Parties gathering, there is so much to be done by the ruling Party.The nakedness of PP has just been hidden with them being in government otherwise is not strong to withstand the forces from the opposition.

Analysing the makeup of the Peoples Party,honestly I,this is the party in the Intesive Care Unit and full of trashes that deserve no attention at all to the rural masses.How strong can a party be when all its members are failures to their own People and parties? If I may remind you in case you have forgotten.Malawi had political parties such as NDA, MPP, CODE, MGODE, MDP just to mention afew.Where are they today? Busy feasting on the Tax payers money in the name of working with the government of the day to serve poor Malawians .How strong can PP be with all its members being Political rejects?

A huge test is ahead for the ruling Party where history is to be made that for the first time, a ruling party has lost the elections in Malawi as well as being in power for 2 years.The weakness of the ruling party is being monitored by the equibrium of the mass it has with the opposition Parties especially UDF and DPP.

In correlation to the Peoples Party Admnistration of Joyce Banda in Malawi. So far, the best term to illustrate the ruling party conduct “INCOMPETENT” .Yes, Peoples Party and Joyce Banda are incompetent to execute government duties beyond 2014.

As the peoples Party of President Joyce Banda in Malawi having time pieced one year and some months in office. The ruling party has so far demonstrated dejectedly and babyishly to millions of Malawians than predictable. If given the prospect, Peoples Party opinion beyond reasonable doubt can turn Malawi into a one party realm once more. Malawi can forever be struck by hunger with shortages of maize we have seen so far with the PP administration and yet to aggravate. The opposition leaders will forever be arrested, persecuted and insulted. The human rights activists and political commentators will again live in fear, issues of social insecurity will be the order of the day where rampant robbery, citizens being killed or removed private parts could be encountered as if officially recognized, institution of high learning will be shut down now and then while the ruling People’s Party and loyalist can abuse its powers and the resources meant for poor Malawians without anyone holding them accountable.

Despite the ruling Party’s efforts to entice poor Malawians with one cow per family initiative when the beneficiaries of the initiative continue sleeping without food. Laying of foundation stones for maternity wings under safe motherhood when pregnant women continue dying in health centers for lack of fuel in ambulance to refer them to district hospitals, wasting so much of government’s resources with travels just to elevate Chiefs when civil servants continue to cry foul, whatelse do you need as Malawians to prove of such incompetent leaders we have.

How sensible is an audacity of fuel availability in the country when patients in Health Centers continue dying for lack of the same fuel mearnt for ambulance refferal of patients to district hospitals? That make The Observers wonder if Joyce Banda and her Peoples Party think of Malawians or making their own political advancements when the underpriviledged continue finding it hard to cope with life.How can a competent President preach of fuel availability in all her political rallies when someone somewhere has just lost a life due to governments failure to allocate enough resource to steer the operations of hospitals.That to me sounds so insane.The president and her party were to deliver as leaders that can be trusted  by their own representatives  and not running  the coutry as politicians who  only think of themselves forgeting the people who ushered them into power.

MALAWIANS PROCLAIM NO VACANCY FOR JOYCE BANDA AND PEOPLES PARTY IN GOVERNMENT BEYOND MAY 2014.

Just recently when President of the Republic of Malawi, Madam Joyce Banda was laying a foundation stone for a health facility in Nancholi- Blantyre .The state president talked roughly  towards opposition leaders and warned them that they should bury their ambitions to become bearers for  the Office of the President and Cabinet (OPC) .The president assured Malawians inclusive of her Orange intellectuals who had converged on the zone that she will have a full time employment in OPC  from 2014-2024 breaking a record of being the first president of the republic of Malawi to rule for a period of 12 years since Malawi became a democratic state. The public announcement has so far attracted attention and several reactions by many Malawians as well as making headlines and circulations on social media and online publishing sites.

Reacting to the president’ statement, many Malawians have expressed their opinions negatively to the president’s ambition through a disguised observation done   by the Observers across the country. According to the majority of the sample that was used in the process, it is very much clear that Malawians are not ready to give Joyce Banda another full term in office with her Peoples Party and they have openly said that,”as far as they remain the voters based on her performance and how things stand in the country presently she must forget her dream and find something to do after 2014 as she will shamelessly get out of the government through the ballot. ”

No vacancy for Joyce Banda and Peoples Party government beyond 2014 declare Malawians .Why should Malawians put Joyce Banda as the first citizen from 2014 to 2024 when all she is good at are lies and promises of political appeasement and fame? We don’t want a president who should take Malawians for granted and lie to them at the expense of their tax money. Unless millions of voters turn mad by 2014 then she should think of staying in power otherwise she is building castles in the air. How can we trust Joyce Banda after all the irresponsibility and immaturity she showed when handling the so called labor exportation deals to South Korea, China, Dubai and Kuwait. Who can vote for a leader who has already betrayed the youths and millions of Malawians in her own country? By no means Joyce Banda should dare lie to herself or fooled by the loyalists who are just there for a while to party with her while helping her sink on the other hand

No vacancy for Joyce Banda and Peoples Party government beyond 2014 declare Malawians .Never again in Malawi that Joyce Banda should be thinking of being the state president for 12 years. With the ongoing economic struggle, Malawi is yet to  experience not only shortage of maize but also high cost of purchasing it owing to governments failure to purchase enough stock of maize when the best Peoples Party government can do  is rot and drain all the maize that Malawi had in the Silos. How can Malawians put in power a president who does not care for her citizens well being and lives?  .As a matter of fact, its almost 90 % of Malawians that survive on Nsima as staple food, a commodity that will sell and miss as Gold in Malawi fueling more anger and fading the dream of lobbying Malawians in the name of agenda for poverty reduction.

No vacancy for Joyce Banda and Peoples Party government beyond 2014 declare Malawians. Why should   Malawi bank all her trust in Joyce Banda for 12 years when presently lots of the countries resources are draining in her pockets, that of her friends and relatives. Have you asked or found out why our president keeps on moving each and every day within and outside the country? If we are to have a cost benefit analysis, numerous travels made by Joyce Banda against the returns, what can millions of poor Malawians point as fruits to such endless travels? Imagine in 12 years, how many tours will Joyce Banda make? For sure she can tour all the countries in the world seeking global recognition when citizens in her country lavish with poverty. So why keep such caliber of a leader.

Many Malawians are not interested with your one cow per family initiative. Of what significance will it make to my fellow poor Malawians out there to be given a cow when they can’t even afford a tablet of soap, packet of sugar, sleep without food and have no money in pockets to sustain their living when you call that poverty reduction as your agenda .What is transformation when you can only build a house whose owner sleeps without taking food? How does it sound? Yes! With that someone automatically boots you out of government.

HEMMING PERSONAL CLOTHES TO A DPP INTELLECTUAL UPSHOT THYOLO DISTRICT COMMISSIONER’ TRANSFER.

As overwrought continue rocking Malawi’ political panorama, things seem to be getting out of hand as The Peoples Party continues  practicing bad governance and becoming more of rulers than leaders. With the rulling partys unending   political  witch hunt, insults of opposition leaders, persecution, corruption, travels, threats to critics and inteference with the operations of  government. It has been observed that mixing  of  government business  with  politics as well as lack of clear separation of powers between the transactions of the rulling Peoples Party and that of the government  will judge many innocent Malawians from the sins they did not commit.

Just   16 months after being transferred from Nneno to Thyolo, the incumbent District Commissioner for Thyolo District is yet to have another emergency transfer under the mechanism of Peoples Party intellectuals. Two months ago, PP gurus were in the same district led by Brown Mpinganjira. The Observers can reveal that Mr Lawford Palani will be on transfer to a district which is not yet known thought rumours emerging that he may be stationed in Nkhatabay.

According to the sources, The Observers have established that the wife to the District Commissioner of Thyolo went to Tanzania on a shoping splee and among other things,she bought some trousers for the husband which were larger than his size.Such being the case,the DC decided to take these trousers  to one of  the  best garment markers  around  Thyolo market  Mr Owen Kocherani  who also serves as the  treasurer  for Democratic Progressive Party<DPP> in the district.

The tune of the story just changed when  some evil minded and self centered Peoples Party  officials   learnt of the development and went further to politicise it.A source within the Peoples Party has admitted that the PP official wrote a letter  addressed to the supremacy of the party  that the District Commissioner  for   Thyolo district Mr Lawford Palani is connected  and siding with the DPP faction.This did not go well with  PP senior official  and without hearing the half side of the story  which is untold,by exercising the powers invested in them by the republican constitution,a call for transfer was issued to Mr Lawford Palani .Mr Lawford Palani will be replaced with Mr Mkasala who is currently the District commisioner for Chikwawa.-Magede Si Wandale.

POOR ELDERLY MALAWIAN ASKED TO PAY 120,000 KWACHA TO BENEFIT FROM MUDZI TRANSFORMATION TRUST IN NTCHEU.

As a political culture of self enrichment continues to grow roots with the Peoples Party government in Malawi. The people’s party current regime is continuing to implement politically centred development approaches just for mere political apeasement and fame but not improving the lives of over 80 % of Malawi’ population living in the rural areas. To cut the story short, ”The Mudzi Transformation Trust ” is one of such initiatives that will not only end up wasting the governments resources but also having no major impact on the rural mass.


To justify my observation before I go straight behind the scenes.If you may recall, we had Shanil Muluzi foundation, Ethel Muthalika foundation and The Bingu-Silver Grey foundation but where are they today? If you are honest enough, no where to be seen.These initiatives not exclusive of Mudzi transformation Trust are short termed and non sustainable initiatives that end no where in a situation where it’s implementing partners goes out of government.


Getting back to the main bussiness, just to bring some senses to the brains behind Mudzi Transformation Trust and every Malawian.Let’s all visualize a poor widowed, underpriviledged aged grand parent , living in the Area of Traditional Authority Tsiku La Mowa, in the political makeup of Ntcheu South constituency situated in the central region Of Malawi, 100 KiloMetres away from the commercial city of Blantyre.


Yes, follow me with keen interest and attentively .This is a grand parent in the 70s. A proposed recipient of the Mudzi Transformation trust who was just visited recently by government/party officials.A grand parent who cannot even pay for a packet of sugar,a kg of meat even once in a month,a granny who has no means of generating income and surely finds it hard to access the basic needs .This is a grand parent who hardly has energy to mould bricks or go in the river banks of Likudzi or Kapeni to get sand.A granny who has failed all along to have a better habitation and surely the Mudzi transformation trust was of great worth and reasons enough to give a smile and better accomodation in the last days of her life.


On a bad note,this is not the case with this old lady to smirk of Mudzi transformation trust.All the optimism and dreams in this old grand parent in Ntcheu to have a dream house has finally brought hurting and tears in her life.When the officials arrived in Ntcheu.They broke the news to the grand parent which made her smile but the whole story distorted when the grand parent was told that as part of the contribution to the project,the grand parent has to provide bricks,sand and other resources which she can not afford to provide them with.Imagine one more time ,the grand parent who cannot afford even a good meal has to cough 120,000 Kwacha for sand,transportation,bricks and local labour to succefully benefit from the Mudzi transformation Trust.


With the her contribution estimated at 120,000 Kwacha on her mind, the grand parent and the community were shocked as the demand did not meet their expectations .Efforts were made with the help of some commnunity members to call her 1 and only son who is working with one of the big companies in the land and earns less than 30,000 Kwacha to update him on the matter and if at all he can come up to their rescue,to his disbelief the young man responded to the call and said ”Is this not an insult to our poverty,how can we manage to cough such amount of money when we fail to meet our ends?”


As a matter of fact,with the on going economic struggle,how do we expect a jobless,powerless and stranded aged poor Malawian who cannot not even afford her basic needs to benefit from the Mudzi Transformation Trust only if she has to cough 120,000 when even those working and strong enough cannot manage to have their as well.For how long will we clap hands to our leaders when nothing tangible and practical is happenning on the ground just to help our leaders advance not only their political ambitions but also personal gains in the name of Mudzi transformation trust when a poor Malawian is failing to benefit from that.

SAFEMOTHERHOOD INITIATIVE WITHOUT RESOURCES IS MEANINGLESS TO MALAWIANS.

As a plan exclusive of its accomplishment relics a dream which never turns factual.So is a government initiative without resources that only twirls to be a political ambition than a reality to its beneficiaries.There goes the story of Peoples Party perpetuated foundation stone laying ceremony for maternity wings construction/extension under the presidential initiative on safemotherhood in Malawi.

In the midst of no doubt, Malawi is virtually facing a lot of tribulations economically.This is not alone disturbing the operations of the government but also having a massive blow on the cost of living among the general populance in  Malawi. There have been major    blockages being faced by our nation primarily the sectors of healthy, agriculture and education .Nethertheless, this piece of writing will focus on the heathy sector with a bias on safemotherhood.

Since the Peoples Party admnistration of Joyce Banda took effect in April 2012.One of the key areas that the rulling party stressed on was the upgrading of the health service in the country. The subject matter to safe motherhood became a cornerstone of Peoples Party to reduce cases of maternal fatality.Efforts have been made and being made but from my point of view, the rulling party has gone off side with the safemotherhood initiative.

To shade more light, just recently, the state president  of the Republic of Malawi ,madam Joyce Banda and her  rulling Peoples Party have been laying foundation stones  for construction or extending of martenity wings in some parts of the country as one way of gratifying her dream to guarantee safe giving of birth in pregnant women.Despite that effort,at present the Ministry of health in Malawi is experiencing a lot of challenges such as being  deficient of  adequate medicine supplies  in hospitals,lack of enough medical staff,lack  of sufficient  funds  allocation for locum/admnistration,lack of medical equipments,lighting problems  and more in particular, little money mearnt for  medical staff personell salaries which hardly withstands the current  cost of living with the economic position Malawi is in.

Bearing those challenges in mind and continued dreams with safemotherhood.It could have been much better if Joyce Banda and her Peoples  Party could first address the challenges that are being faced by the health sector   with the little the country has than persue her political gain and fame starting new projects that may end up in limbo and having  no impact on the life of a poor Malawian in the rural area who cannot afford to go to a paying health facility.As Malawi has not stabilized economically to address such challenges completely, the Peoples  Party  might  succesfully construct these martenal wings but in return the  problems in the health sector continuing to persist on the ground.

With such problems as outlined previously in the Ministry of health.One painfull revelation to Joyce Banda and her Peoples Party will be that:  “no matter how many foundation stones they may lay in readness of constructing martenity wings even in all the heathy centers in Malawi but as far as the Ministry of Health in Malawi continue facing those problem then all their efforts are meaningless and a mere wastage of time and resources”.

Devoid of the Peoples Party addressing those challenges and continue laying millions of foundation stones,it will only be the bootlickers and orange  intellectuals that will clap hands,ululate and chant amayi chiongolero <a woman on a steering wheel> while the rest of Malawians will laugh off and discret you further.Therefore, my last words are that,if “PEOPLES PARTY- SAFEMOTHERHOOD INITIATIVE CONTINUES  WITH NO RESOURCE ALLOCATION AND ADDRESSING THE PROBLEMS  IN THE MINISTRY OF HEALTH THEN THE  INITIATIVE  IS MEANINGLESS”.

PEOPLES PARTY ABUSING GOVERNMENT RESOURCES- AS ZIKHALE WANTS HIS SHARE FROM BINGU’S WEALTH.

Just some weeks back when assertions  were made that Bingu had chattels estimated at over 61 Billion Kwacha as per Yeremia Chihanas valuation.I wrote an  article caption “ Peoples Party officials involved in Bingu Wa Muthalikas alleged 61 Billion swindle”.In the piece of writing just to give you a mirror image in case you missed it ,I tackled some promising loops  in which the  Peoples Party  officials might have  had a hand in abusing the resources that were mearnt for Malawians and how uncountable these orange intellectuals had been.Not sooner but later  the PP sovereigns distanced themselves from the revelation and played the sacred leaders  virtuousness to paint us black as being conscientious and  responsible leaders yet hypocrites in the Lord’s sight.

To put on trace a new twist on how the Peoples Party are playing the 2 years bonanza and gambling with the coffers, symphoning any single penny into their personal accounts, making strange investiments ,purchasing of tracks, vehicles,political handouts,buying of opposition members of parliament,global trotting,tour de Malawi,awarding orange loyalists unnecessary multi million contracts,   purchasing of estates  and their affluence  estimated at  billions of kwachas within a short period of time.It is of no doubt that the calibres of Ken Zikhale N’goma who  made  a public revelation that he needs his split from the allerged Bingus possessions may not only be liable for abusing donations and aid  in the coffers but also being secretive enough shielding the siting president and cabinet members judging by his own words he made publically in the development rally the Peoples Party conducted in the Northern region of Malawi  just recently.That revelation is not only a propaganda but a true reflection that these guys ara partying big time with the government resources.

With an eagle’s eye, if Peoples Party government is to seize Bingus weath, so should people like KZN be probed as they  have shares to claim  fro this controversial allegations and possibly  knew what Bingu might have been doing and kept all along silent and now they want to fool the nation propagating that DPP  and Bingu messed the countries economies big time when they were the ones in DPP colors  just a year ago.For  how long has it taken for  the peoples party to start following Bingu only after his death when they  spent almost 8 years with  him when he was alive and zipped their mouths ?To me that sounds too shaloow and not adding up at all.Who knows that  people like Ken Zikhale Ng’oma might also be sharing the funds from donors with Joyce Banda and other party loyalists as he claimed they did with Bingu but they are not saying anything todate.How can we trust and believe such type of leaders whose mouths are full of lies and heart full of political greviances.

It’s not a deniable fact that the Peoples Party is abusing public resources and some of its members are shareholders to the government’s treasury enjoying much of the donor’s aid in the coffers. I am very much optimistic that one day and that’s not years from today, the evidence will come out  that the  “PEOPLES PARTY ABUSED GOVERNMENT RESOURCES” .Watch the space.

PEOPLES PARTY, THE POLITICIANS WASTE BIN.

Without fear and favour, for once make an effort to disregard being aroyalist to the Peoples Party, the proud rulling politicians waste bin orange family in Malawi  and take a chance to echo how the political and economic backdrop of Malawi has been since we turn out to be a democratic state 19 years ago. With great unease, there has been a babyish and egocentric breed of leaders we have seen in these years.The recycled trash of leaders who are more of crooks, opportunist, black mafias, murderers, bootlikckers and gready calibre of politicians who have seriously contributed to the jumble Malawi is in today.

With the 3 regimes we have had so far in Malawi as a democratic state of UDF, DPP and now PP.The only major thing that has changed with the nature of these leaders is being clothed with one party colour after the other while maintaining the same dirty and childish politicking style. Over 90 percent of the orange breed we have today is the same recycled and unchanged variety of leaders that has for once messed the economies, robbed from the government and abused poor Malawians while being shielded by the republican constitution.

Having a diagnostic look at the PP government, the politicians waste bin. Openly as  an underpriviledged  Malawians ,do not anticipate something new in terms of leadership or development rather look forward to glance the  same style of  corruption, nepotism, abuse of Malawi broadcasting stations and television, abuse of power, political witch hunt, abuse of public funds, politically motivated arrests, not respecting the constitution, robbying Malawians from the coffers, torture and low development level.These  are the best malpractises that are likely to be the governing style of the Peoples Party aka politicians waste bin.

As a matter of reality,Peoples Party is nothing new in the political circles of Malawi rather the same bunch of old self-centered crooks who only aim at partying with the donors and tax payers money turning themselves into billionaires  when the poor Malawian who ushered them into power remain undevolped and poorer than before.Now as we draw closer to 2014 tripartite election the big question in mind is, how do we expect Malawi to change and develop when nothing has changed in our leaders apart from the party color they are in today.Factually, there is need to get rid of these breed of leaders only if Malawi is to change otherwise,Malawi will still be same.

I remain Magede Si Wandale seing nothing new changing in Malawi in terms of social and economic development with Peoples Party being in power even for 10 years extra than turnng into a dangerous politician’s bandit and  waste bin ready to press  and mess Malawi even more.
