THE PRESIDENT MALAWI NEED IS NOT EQUAL TO JB STANDARD BEYOND 2014.

JB-Not the calibre

H
onourable ladies and gentlemen. On a sombre note, in view of the fact that Joyce Banda took office sometime in April 2012 appropriate to the death of Bingu Wa Muthalika, the nastiest obsession among my fellow  Malawians was to untimely praise Joyce Banda for her  wishful and imaginary outburst without considerations. With time now, it’s so  shameful and pathetic for many Malawians especially those in the Orange camp  to realise that their praising and bootlicking for sweets and buns  in exchange of  wooing support to the ruling party has only compensated  them with  lies ,promises, corruption, poor leadership and abuse of public resources which  have greatly  contributed to worsening  the political, social and economic constitute of Malawi. Accounting to the shortfalls of Peoples Party so far, it’s unquestionable that Joyce Banda political future and fame has deteriorated.

From my point of view, One excruciating realism is that Joyce Banda rise to the highest office came as a tragedy but on the contrary, her collapse will never be a coincidence rather a suicide undertaking owing to her miscalculated politicking style, poor advisors and strategists who have put all their feelings on falsification to voters instead of concentrating on solving the problems the PP family have created so far as the ruling elite. Malawians are facing a lot of challenges which are as of now being ignored by this administration of JB moment with their short-lived initiatives and blanket distributions.

As we draw closer to 2014 first tripartite elections, for sure this calibre of JB president are not an ideal for developing Malawi rather a bunch of mediocrity minded people aiming to use politics as a business model to rob the poor and enrich themselves with their own semi- heavens while the poor Malawians continue living a devastating ecological unit. Only without the death of Bingu, I can guarantee that Malawians could entrust and vote for Joyce Banda at all cost in the next year’s election. Unfortunately, the sudden death of Bingu has exposed and laid bare Joyce Banda not only as a clueless leader but also self centred and a non-creative thinker.

On the contradicting  side of the ruling People’s Party, most Malawians are currently failing to cope with life due to the high cost of living, increasing water and electricity tariffs, increased rentals and levy on a monthly basis  are hardening the lives of those Malawians living in towns and cities yet their pay remains moribund for the working class. As a heavy punch, for the remaining 80% of the rural Malawians, high prices of local commodities and services such as maize, school fees, soap, relish, transportation and accessing other basics are their major blow making their living a misery.

In a setting where our president is enchanting of economic recovery, there has been nothing sort of transformation  with the improved living standards for the majority of Malawians than  our president Joyce Banda enjoying allowances for her tours of  distributing blankets, cows, laying foundation stones, and any other activity which has its card drop at the state residence gates. Many Malawians are afflicted and wonder what sort of economic recovery Malawi is going through in a case that the prices of goods and services are continuing to be hiked and the living standards for the poor Malawians continuing to deteriorate.

Malawians are looking for a leader who is ready to address inconveniences for the common good of the rural masses than create more problems just to seek more time in office. The rule of Joyce Banda is far worse than any leadership Malawi ever had. JB might be good on other platforms but she   is of poorer quality as the state president. For sure Malawi will continue experience lots of challenges till 2014 in terms of food insecurity, abuse of public office and powers, high cost of living, increased tariffs of utilities, poor accessibility to social services, violation of human rights and poor leadership .The focus of Joyce Banda administration is short sighted where its leaving crucial matters aside and concentrating on useless and petty issues when Malawians are continuing to suffer.

At all cost I still remain Magede Si Wandale not disposable on any political party or colour but one painful moment at a time is to reveal to you that   the president Malawi needs is not of JB calibre beyond 2014.
