JB IS BLAME FOR THE CAPITAL HILL LOOTING.

She is to blame for the Capital Hill Saga

Esteemed observers, I am off the view to believe the brainwashing from the president that her government is doing all it takes to be done with corruption in Malawi following the arrest that have been taking place for almost a month now since the Budget Director was shot in Malawi. During her press briefing at Sanjika Palace upon her arrival from the USA on 9th October, 2013.Joyce Banda clearly stated that corruption has been in Malawi for almost 20 years just that the previous leaders say Bingu and Bakili did not take the measures she is doing to stop corruption assuming she is really doing it

As a matter of fact, since the birth of democracy in Malawi, there has been a common breed of dramatis personae that have been trusted to play in the CABINET team and for sure these are the people we must strongly condemn for the economic woes Malawi is going through as well as rampant corruption among the civil servants and top government officials both technocrats and politicians.

Bearing in mind the fact that Joyce Banda has been an integral part of Malawi’ leadership both in the UDF ,DPP regimes having served as an active top party member, cabinet Minister in different portfolios  as well as the Vice President of the Republic of Malawi. For sure madam president has full knowledge of the looting that has been taking place in these 20 years of democracy. Such being the case, if indeed Bakili Muluzi and Bingu WA Muthalika were corrupt so is Joyce Banda. There is no way she can exclude herself today claiming that her government is the one fighting corruption when indeed PP government is the worst corrupt.

Fellow Observers, indeed President Joyce Banda has all the blame on the recent famous CASH GATE SCANDAL and the CAPITAL HILL looting. If you take a close look at the CABINET team of Malawi’ democratic rule, the first 11 has always  comprised of notable and influential people  such as Joyce Banda, Khumbo Kachali, Ken Lipenga, Uladi Mussa, Sidik Mia, John Bande, Brown Mpinganjira, Ralph Kasambala, Ken Kandodo, Henry Phoya and Eunice Kazembe. This team must strongly be condemned for all the looting in these 20 years and playing of a hard chess to the tax payer’s money directly or indirectly at the end posing a big threat to the entire nation having our major donors pulling out or withholding aid to Malawi. When donors go, for sure a lot of innocent Malawians suffer having no drugs in hospitals, colleges shut, and no learning materials in schools and poor road network and communication infrastructure. This team owes Malawians big time.

If for sure Joyce Banda was against corruption in Malawi, the first thing she would have done as soon as she ascended to the presidency was to get rid of the famous CABINET team bearing in mind of the looting in the government system long before the outburst of the CAPITAL HILL scandal. To my surprise as “the Bush Observer”, Joyce Banda still banked her hope in the same people she is full aware that they contribute to the looting of government resources and in that way I wonder how she claims she is fighting corruption.

As now I pen down, I don’t see the reason why the President should blame the previous regimes which she was part of along with the just dissolved cabinet of hers, the Integrated Financial Management Information System (IFMIS) among others as the crucial players in the looting of government resources because Madam President has it all to be blamed. How can Billions of Kwacha go out of the government coffers even in her own office and ministry under her control without her knowledge? This is some kind of joke. Where do these Ministers or controlling officer’ report to? I guess the President herself and how come now she is putting the blame on others. Joyce Banda is a key player in the capital hill looting and for sure she has failed to handle the situation until it has gone out of hand and now she has a hot ball in her hands let’s wait and see how she handles it.
