Just recently when the state President of the republic of
Malawi, Madam Joyce Banda was in Karonga to celebrate the silver Jubilee of
Bishop Mtumbuka of the Catholic Church. At least for once hoped that Madam President
would be very honest in her actions as men of God were before her.To the amusement
of the congregation that had assembled, the state presidents was so hypocritical
in her audacity of the transformation in
our mind. The way her holy president spoke for sure a Peoples Party Ministry is yet to be bone.
“Speculations when I was finding out about Bishop Mtumbuka, I came across one
person who was telling me that the Bishop works very hard and tirelesly .It is possible may be
sizoona but despite that I am young before
him as he is a Bishop, still I can give
him a word of advice ,I want to beg you kuti mudzipuma pang’ono, take a break
,take abreak “.I quote from the President’ speech and for sure this was completely out of order Madam president.
How on earth could you be such a hypocrite Madam
President.Do you take break or deligate yourself? Are you not the one who recently
said you will not stop travelling and moving up and down to transform the poor,
distribute cows, lay foundation stones, ellevate chiefs and soon it will be
maize and flour distribution again.Do you think that we are all kids or have
put out o mind of what you said? Haaaaaaaaaa. That’s very interesting and too hypocritical.
Thought I am very young as an observer and you are the state president <borrowing
from your 21 minutes speech in Karongs> but still I can give you word of
advice. ” I beg you in the name of the father, son and Holy Spirit to
be realistic and not be a pretender before the Lord and millions of Malawians.”
Point of order Madam President, something must also be out
of order again .Watching you arriving in a private chartered plane in Karonga
puzzled me a lot.How sensible does it make to Malawians that you sold the other
jet to save money and now you are boarding a chartered plane? Is it a donation,
paid off by well wishers or sponsered by the church which organised the Jubilee
celebration for the Bishop?Anyway, let me pause here for the time being and praise God as you said for the hunger, the
insult to opposition, the corruption and high cost of living being
experienced in Malawi now.
I remain Magede Si
Wandale, ” The Malawi Observer.”
