Enough of PP nosense |
Enough of Peoples Party Leadership baloney-just like Hollywood.
Your Excellency,
Subsequent to numerous events prevailing in the country since you attained the highest office, I insinuate it’s high time your leadership should be contentious by Malawians. As a citizen of the land, I have observed that many Malawians are not satisfied and happy with the delinquency by some ruling Peoples Party senior Officials, members of the cabinet and not excluding the integral team executing national duties. I will not imply to be rude to your office or degrade your majesty and authority but I would rather inept your leadership as being subjugated with a lot of non-substantial matters based on facts as follows:
1. SNATCHING OF VOTERS CERTIFICATES FOR A FERTILIZER BAG;
Your Excellency, as the voters registration is currently under way and the registration of farm families to benefit from this year’s 60 billion Kwacha subsidy program in progress, it’s very shameful and unacceptable to note that some Chiefs from your home district Zomba and Thyolo with the support of other Peoples Party officials and unidentified policemen are going by snatching voters cards in exchange of a bag of fertilizer or to benefit form the FISP which was already budget for under the 2013/2014 fiscal year. This to me sound unconstitutional and unbecoming regarding the importance of the voters cards bearing in relation to a fact that in 2014 we are going to have elections . What impacts will this have on the outcomes of the tripartite election? Free and fair as it was in Zimbabwe? How does that sound!!
2. WASTING TAXPAYERS MONEY RUNNING A FACEBOOK PAGE;
Your Excellency, how does it sound to be blamed for wasting thousands of US $ of taxpayers money just for a useless facebook page when Malawians are failing to access better social services in the sectors of education and health to sample? What impacts will that page bring to Malawians? Will it bring us food or security at the end of the day? Hell no! How many unpaid teachers’ salaries for Open Distance Learning (ODL) program could be served with that lamp sum of Kwacha’s? How does that sound!!
3. ILLEGAL RESTRAINING OF LOCAL AUTHORITIES FROM DUTIES;
Your Excellency, recently our Senior Chief Mankhambila of Nkhata Bay was on record to have been removed from his official duties for lambasting your government for some thing’s that are not adding up, is that democratic or tolerant as you preach? You mean the best way to run this country should be based on lies and not facts? Come on your majesty, we can not all clap hands or shout “Amayi Chiongolero” when things are absolutely wrong. Peoples Party will go but these Chiefs will remain in power so better sob upon on how you handle these other matters otherwise your morale and integrity will completely vanish.
4. PREFERRING CHARITABLE DUTIES TO ABANDONING PRESIDENTIAL DUTIES;
Your Excellency, as a nation we distinguish the powers and duties you have as specific in section 89 of the Republican constitution. Referring to the constitutional duties, it’s very shameful and derision to the presidency to spend much of your time laying foundation stones, distributing blankets, maize, flour, cows and goats. That’s seems more of charitable work than presidential duties. Don’t you think the Public-Private-Partnership could be of great advantages in such cases? At least you could delegate those other small tactical and operational matters and focus on the strategically part. No wonder one of the Human Rights group recently blamed you for politicizing relief aid. That’s so contemptible for you despite your heart, love and care for Malawians.
5. OFFICIALS IMPLICATED IN VOTERS CARD BUYING/SNATCHING;
Your Excellency, much as I understand that you want to rule beyond 2014 and that no vacancy exist in OPC till 2024 as per your say. I am off to disagree with you that your guarantee in the highest Office should be propelled by some malpractices being done by the Peoples Party official. Prove to the nation that you can buy our trust but not buying or snatching voter’s cards from poor Malawians just to make sure you stay in power. Do not take our poverty to your advantage. This is an act that was to be condemned greatly but since these revelations have been made, nothing has happened. Is that not a crime under the laws of Malawi?
6. BREACHING PUBLIC TRUST WITH LIES;
Your Excellency, are you aware that your orifice is full of mendacity and deceit? It was you who openly accusing retired Chief justice Lovemore Munlo of a conspiracy without considerations. Do I need to remind you again of the labor exportation deal to Korea? Let me have my reservation for that. What about the recent say that you know the shooters of Mr. Paul Mphiyo? Do you think the public will not lose trust at you again in a situation that things don’t add up? Where are we with economic recovery today in the context of a poor rural Malawian not those close to you and party loyalists? Is it not a lie again to preach of economy on track when the prices of goods are continuing to rise on a daily basis? How do we believe you then?
7. FAILURE TO RESOLVE THE AUTOMATED HUNGER CRISIS;
Your Excellency, if I am not wrong, by the time you became the state president. Malawi was on record to have managed to concur the hunger that hard been a challenges for us for years .Our national food reserves had enough stock of maize and so we were at household level. Look now! Just within your year of operation, Malawi is in a hunger crisis, Malawians at national and household level have no food. Now you have introduced food rationing at ADMARC depots despite that we already have no food. How will families survive with a 10kg of maize? Imagine a bag of maize that we bought at MK 3500 just a year ago is now at MK7500 and will surely sell as gold soon. How will this mess end? What has the government done to address this? Nothing but failing to stock up maize in our silos.
8. HIGH LEVELS OF CORRUPTION AMONG CIVIL SERVANTS;
Your Excellency, are you aware of the rampant corruption that has locked your administration? The taxpayer’s money is at risk. How much money have we so far lost through corrupt ministers, PS, Directors and the entire civil service? Kwacha’s enough to buy drugs in hospitals and feed the nation. How do we recover when government and party officials are busy rooting and playing hard chess on the coffers? Stop preaching the 61 Billion Kwacha gospel and preach your own.
9. POLITICS OF CASTIGATION;
Your Excellency, among the numerous shortfalls of your administration, there is no way i can forget this new politicking style by your Party members. The foul and stinking mouth of your juniors is another big discredit. The best way to de-campaign the opposition is not to be on a podium with a national emblem castigating them with our tax money. Tell us what you have done since you ascended to that office and what you intend to do before 2014 than criticize the people who are not currently onboard. Stop castigating them and deliver. You have more than castigation to buy our trust and that won’t help no more as Malawians no the truth as of now.
10. UNREASONABLE SELLING OF THE PRESIDENTIAL JET AT A LOSS;
Your Excellency, have you ever come across errors of thinking. Selling the presidential jet at a big loss is one of such scenario. Worse still, that loss will only buy us maize that we will consume for days and lest we forget. That’s a greatest mistake you made and Malawi in years will live to regret that and wish it was only a wish to sell that Jet. How much will we spend or the future president will incur for chartered planes? I don’t see sustainable development with that. Of course you may condemn the purchase of that jet that it was made in a time Malawi was in Economic Woes but how does it differ to the procurement of ESCOM and ministers posh cars? Does it make sense either? Hell no Madam President.
11. SOCIAL INSECURITY;
Your Excellency, robberies, rape, gunfire, assassination attempts and people found dead with other parts missing has become the order of the day. Poor Malawians lives are at risk when you enjoy first class security. Who will protect us when security seems a problem with your government? Where should we go and seek refuge as Malawi seems dangerous and no more a safe place to live. How do when the media on a daily basis report cases of rape, murder, robbery and insecurity to the majority of the populace? Are we now fugitives in our own country? I am puzzled and wonder who the Police are serving now.
12. FAILURE TO ADDRESS CHALLENGES IN THE EDUCATION SECTOR;
Your Excellency, as a fact, Education plays a great role in the social development of any other country inclusive of Malawi. Presently, when the Peoples Party is busy insulting Malawians with tales of Economic Recovery, an ODL teacher somewhere in Dedza, Ntcheu, Zomba, Nkhatabay, Nkotakota, Mchinji and across the country has spent 6 months without a single Kwacha for his/her upkeep yet someone is busy playing jackpot to the same pot of gold. Long at last, the children for the poor Malawian will fail to acquire quality education as stated in the Republican constitution when your children and siblings of those close to you will be able to access education abroad or in private schools leaving us the majority in isolation. I don’t want to say much for the tertiary education and you as the Chancellor of University of Malawi and Mzuni because it may take me a narrative equal to this one to address challenges for those institutions.
13. UNRECOVERED ECONOMY AND HIGH PRICES OF GOODS AND SERVICES;
Your Excellency, honestly may be for my ignorance I am failing to appreciate what Economic recovery is all but still I can figure out something. What is economic recovery when electricity bills are continuing to rise despite blackouts, the water tariff increasing when pipes remain dry. Rental increasing monthly, Kwacha floating and losing value on the stock market weekly, the price of maize doubling, hospitals lacking drugs, business making loses, high levels of unemployment and other Malawians losing jobs, the cost of living becoming unbearable. Is that what Economic Recovery is all about? Though I am not an economist but I can measure the poverty level as increasing and worsening than it was a year ago.
With due respect your Excellency; this is enough of Peoples Party Leadership. Adding them up it’s just like another Hollywood movie making in progress. Enough is enough!
