It was just as the state president had arrived in Nkhotakota District when the DPP President and 2014 Presidential candidate Peter Muthalika stormed Dwangwa JP School in his tour in the Lakeshore area. Thousands of Malawians surrounding Dwangwa Trading Center waited patiently for almost some hours before the young Muthalika arrived in his confident mood amid chants from happy cadets and fans who were present at the venue.

Speaking before the cloud that had gathered in the constituency of Henry Chimunthu Banda who was not available on the venue, Peter Muthalika speech was brief with confidence that 2014 DPP is bouncing back into power.

“It’s pathetic that Malawi has no food and scrambles for food from other countries (Zambia) while just in past 8 years Malawi never begged for food during the DPP reign .The young Muthalika assured the fans in the Lakeshore area that once DPP bounces back into power next year, it’s the duty of his rule and a pillar of the party to ensure that Malawi is food secure again”.

In addition to that, Peter Muthalika told Malawians in the area that they should go and register when time comes as well us make sure that they keep in safe custody their voting cards and avoid selling them to people who are going around fooling people to buy their cards so that they can rig the electoral process.”Don’t sell you voting cards, keep them safe and vote for DPP to continue its development plans across the country”. Said Muthalika.

Muthalika also expressed a deep concern on the looting at Capital hill which has made the country lost Billions of Kwacha which could be enough to procure drugs in hospitals as well as buy enough books in school.

The mood of the fans was so high when Peter Muthalika told the gathering that they should not get worried with rumors that they will arrest him and bar him from contesting in the next year’s election.”I want to assure you that I will stand next year and don’t get disturbed with rumors that I am going to be arrested”, at this moment, Muthalika took off his cap and threw it to the clouds so that they had to see his face clearly in order not to miss his face on the ballot paper.

Muthalika also promised the fans that he will come back again in the area when campaign starts as this was just a branching on his whistle stop tour. From the setting that the people glanced at Dwangwa trading Center (Dwangwa JP School), fellow observers have said Peter Muthalika has outclassed Joyce Banda and majority of the people have expressed love for DPP and their support to the DPP leader trashing claims that the area is a home of PP. Honorable Liwimbi was available at the venue while Chimunthu Banda who is the Member of the area was missing in action.
