STOP DISCRIMINATING THE 10 COM STUDENTS, THEY ARE NOT POLITICIANS MADAM PRESIDENT.

They have started thanking JB in political rallies

Esteemed observers, before us is a serious concern that needs to be taken care of before things completely get out of hand. Neither this is to do with the capital hill looting nor the just announced skeleton cabinet but the 10 students from College of Medicine who were recently awarded scholarships by her Excellency Dr Joyce Hilda Mtila Banda at Sanjika Palace in Blantyre.

Much as I appreciate the good gesture which has been showed by our President and worthy emulating, it is not proper now for the president and her Peoples Party to be using these underprivileged aspiring Doctors for her political mileage. Get me right esteemed observers, these students are not politicians and their poverty is not something that should make them dance to the politicians tune, turn a mockery or an insult to their integrity. It’s unacceptable for the President to be taking these students wherever she goes and make them speak on the podium to thank her for what she has done to them.

Helping the needy should not turn to be a political hoax or the way to shame those that are not well to do. For those who attended a recent political rally which Joyce Banda held in Dedza on 15th October, 2013.It was shocking and sorry when the audience saw one of the beneficiaries among the 10 students being called to speak before the audience which had gathered at this political rally in Dedza to thank Joyce Banda for the bursary given to her and friends. In case I am wrong fellow observers-“How many times should these needy students have to thank the President? I thought they thanked her already when they met at Sanjika Palace “.This is an infringement of Human Rights and a clear discrimination to these needy students. For sure Madam President has taken a wrong turn.

Just to remind you madam presidents, do not act like the Pharisees. The nation is aware that you have helped these students and there is no need for them to be thanking you on podiums otherwise Malawians will doubt your credibility and motive behind helping them. Much as you deeply know that this was done to help them and not for the votes or boosting the morale in the run to the 2014 tripartite election, my final say on this  to you madam president is that, ” STOP DISCRIMINATING THESE 10 College Of Medicine  STUDENTS, THEY ARE NOT POLITICIANS MADAM PRESIDENT save them from this mess.”
